
Swimmers Beat Club Records

The First Strokes Swim Club Competitive Swimming Squad beat the Clubs records at Sundays Halstead 4th Open Meet, including most Personal Best Times in a single gala, most medals at a single gala and highest gala attendance. 28 members of First Strokes Swim Squad walked away from the Gala with 26 medals (including 3 Gold, 3 Silver and 6 Bronze) and 83 Personal Best Times.
Special Congratulations go to George Wilson who won 5 medals, Alex Peterson and Alexander Tinnion who both won 4 medals, Kendal Lever, Katie Walmsley and Thomas Wopling all who won 3 medals. Alexander Peterson time also qualifies him to compete in the 50m freestyle at the Regional Championships in Luton next month.
Other members who swam were Daniel Gilbert, Jack O'Gorman, Samuel Hodgkins, Hannah McFarlane, Harriet Barnes, Emily Sharp, Ammaarah Parker, Beth Archer, Madison Smith, Zoe Clegg, Eleanor Durban, Ffion Fry, Jake Whiteaker, Pri Antonyrajan, Lucinda Halim, Amy Miller, Ryan Osbourn, Sam Reeves, Ella Roxburgh, Jessica Watt, Bethan Williams and Rhiannon WIlliams.
David Treliving, Head Coach commented "It was an excellent day of swimming and with almost every swimmer setting new PBs and the squad taking home a record number of medals, it was so impressive to watch their individual achievements from a coaching point of view"
