Head Coach County report 2024 Stanway Swimming Club.

I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate all the children, volunteers, coaches, parents as well as all those involved in this year’s memorable, outstanding and unforgettable Essex County Championships held at the Olympic pool London Stratford.

Our county qualifiers this year were as follows:

Izzy, Rach, Harvey, Kallie, Ellie, Jodie, Cassie, Olive, Bea, Isabella

All these children have trained admirably leading up to the championships and throughout the year to represent Stanway Swimming Club. They are not only fantastic swimmers but more importantly remarkable young people.

It certainly was raining gold for Stanway Swimming Club with swimmers shining in the stunning gold and black.

From our ten county swimmers we swam,

42 races

29 top 10 finishes,11 of which were heat declared and 18 finals swam.

5 Gold Medals

1 Silver Medal

2 Bronze Medals

23 Personal Best times.

2 new regional qualifiers!

Harvey 50 Fly

Olive 200 Fly

Our achievements did not end there because we now have a new County Champion, yes County Champion!! Olive scored the most overall points in her age group and dominated throughout the championships. Olive now has the title of the best swimmer in Essex! This is due to her unmatched commitment, dedication and resilience. Enjoy it Olive, you certainly deserve it.

On a personal note I am incredibly proud to represent such a phenomenal swimming club and would like to thank all the swimmers for their super human efforts over the two weekends representing Stanway Swimming Club.
