Halstead Sprint starter results, 6-Sept

First Strokes Swim Club recently attended the Halstead Season Sprint Starter gala held at the Braintree Swimming Centre.
The club achieved a total of eight gold, 17 silver and ten bronze medals.
The following swimmers achieved top three places: Zoe Clegg (10), Louis Dutch (12), William Easteal (9), Marcus Holmes (12), Robert Mills (16), Jack O'Gorman (14), Ryan Osbourn (11), Maddie Smith (11), George Wilson (17), Lauren Wopling (9) and Thomas Wopling (11).
Essex County qualifying times were achieved by Clegg, Mills, O'Gorman, Smith, Wilson, Lauren Wopling and Lochie Hankin-Appleby (15).
Several swimmers also broke club records including Georgia Bleck in the 9 Years 50m Breaststroke.
PB times were achieved in 66% of all races with the other First Strokes SC members achieving PBs: Beth Archer, Harriet Barnes, Kara Davies, Lauren Himsworth, Freya Jolly, Lauren Livermore and James Mills.
